After returning from a three-year hiatus, Canada’s Post Death Soundtrack—comprised of members Kenneth Buck, Steve Moore, and Jon Ireson—recently released a moody, atmospheric, and, at times, downright eerie LP titled The Unlearning Curve, which you can stream in full below, via Bandcamp.
Mixing elements of post-rock, trip-hop, and industrial electronics, PDS use heavy beats, buzzsaw synths, and unusual vocal deliveries to offer up a concoction that will likely appeal to those who enjoy the countless projects of Trent Reznor and/or Mike Patton. There’s no real way to define what this trio creates so it’s best to just dive in and get a feel for yourself.
After listening, make sure to check out the band’s previous album, 2008’s Music As Weaponry, as well.
